The launch coincides with the latest research published by Forbes Advisor, which revealed that credit card processing fees in 2022 range from 1.5% to 3.5% per transaction. For small businesses, this can be a significant expense.
SuisseBase’s new crypto payment gateway was designed as an alternative to credit card payments.
“It’s easy to fund your SuisseBase account; it’s even easier to withdraw from your SuisseBase account,” said a company representative. “Our banking partners give you peace of mind on your incoming and outgoing transfers. You are always in control of your money,” they added.
The new service allows businesses and individuals to accept Ethereum payments via their USD IBAN accounts. Clients can also use the SuisseBase payment gateway to make vendor payments via bank or crypto transfer.
Along with Ethereum, the low-fee exchange platform lists over 40 digital assets, including Solana, Bitcoin, Tether, and Cardano. Currently, two fiat currencies are supported: EUR and USD. All assets on the platform are insured by Coincover – the safety standard for crypto. Additionally, SuisseBase uses government-grade security protocols, stores cryptographic key materials offline, and adheres to the highest standards of regulatory compliance.
“Designed, developed, and deployed by individuals with military, law, and finance backgrounds, our security standards rival those of government institutions and banks,” a spokesperson said.
SuisseBase is currently developing a corporate crypto-first card, which will further facilitate crypto transactions. The card has been authorized by PCI.
