IL Pre-License Real Estate Classes | Online School PSI Certification Update

The latest launch from Inland Real Estate School, in association with the Professional Studies Institute, is part of its comprehensive program of higher learning for people of all ages who are looking for a new challenge or to expand an existing skillset. The expanded program is being offered in a variety of formats including home study, live classroom, or live streamed tutorials.

The announcement outlines the course’s updated syllabus which includes the 75 hours of education required by Illinois law for applicants to qualify for their broker license. Upon completion of the program, graduates are granted an entry-level real estate license. This enables them to offer consumer real estate services under the supervision of a mentoring broker.

According to Investopedia, anyone engaging in real estate transactions must first earn a license in the state in which they plan to work. Each state has its own regulations, examinations, and assessment procedures for those who wish to obtain a license. Licenses generally fall under either those for salespeople or those for brokers.

The Pre-License program includes a 60-hour component that focuses on real estate law alongside 15 hours of learning how these regulations are applied in practice. Each module ends with an online quiz assessment. There are 12 of these in total with a minimum score of 75% required to pass.

Once all the program requirements are complete, students’ documentation is sent to the PSI testing agency for verification. A certificate is then issued, within 72 hours, for uploading to the state registration portal.

Learning takes the form of live interactive sessions which run either in the morning from 9 am to 12.45 pm or in the evening from 6 pm until 9.45 pm. Concessionary course fees are granted to military veterans or currently-serving armed forces personnel.
