Japan Airlines has another option for serving Hawaii: discount flights.
JAL’s new discount carrier, ZIPAIR, will launch service on Dec. 16 between Tokyo — Narita International Airport — and Honolulu.
It intends to work 16 roundtrip trips through the finish of January 2021.
Fares start at $180 for single direction flights.
ZIPAIR, which is staffed by JAL representatives, started traveler service in October with Tokyo to Seoul and Bangkok.
It comes over a month after Hawaii extended its pre-travel testing program to Japan, permitting travelers to forgo a two-week quarantine in the event that they give evidence of a negative COVID-19 test taken with a confided in testing supplier close to 72 hours before takeoff.
Travel limitations, nonetheless, stay set up in Japan for specific guests, including U.S. residents.
